Historique
Dans sa partie la plus ancienne, l'église paraît remonter au 11e ou 12e siècle (portail et ancien choeur). Il y avait là un monastère bâti pour célébrer le martyre de Sainte-Dode, décapitée au 5e siècle non loin de là. Le monastère, plus tard prieuré, faisait partie des possessions de l'abbaye de Simorre. L'église a été bâtie sur les vestiges d'un prieuré démoli par les Jésuites d'Auch. Vers la fin du 17e siècle, l'édifice a été agrandi à l'est, entraînant la démolition du chevet roman et son remplacement par un choeur à chevet plat. History
In its oldest part, the church appears to date to the 11th or 12th century (portal and old choir). There was a monastery built there to celebrate the martyrdom of Saint Dode, beheaded in the 5th century not far away. The monastery, later a priory, was part of the possessions of the abbey of Simorre. The church was built on the remains of a priory demolished by the Jesuits of Auch. Towards the end of the 17th century, the building was enlarged to the east, resulting in the demolition of the Romanesque chevet and its replacement by a choir with a flat chevet. The bell tower dates from 1874. The staircase tower, adjoining to the north, would date back to the 14th century. The southern chapel is covered with original paintings.
