Le castrum de Marsano fut rasé par le comte d'Armagnac à l'occasion d'un conflit avec l'archevêque d'Auch. Le chapitre de Sainte-Marie d'Auch contribua à sa reconstruction. Les éléments primitifs ont probablement été repris dans les fondations du château actuel. Les transformations essentielles datent de 1750. History
The castrum of Marsano was razed by the count of Armagnac on the occasion of a conflict with the archbishop of Auch. The chapter of Sainte-Marie d'Auch contributed to its reconstruction. The primitive elements were probably taken up in the foundations of the present castle. The essential transformations date from 1750. Until 1770, the royal road Toulouse-Auch crossed the present courtyard of honour between the church and the castle. From 1833, the square tower of the south-west is completed and the roof is realised. The castle presents two wings perpendicular delimiting a courtyard of honour bordered to the north by the outbuildings forming a U closed by a grille, and the former castle chapel become parish church. The south façade is flanked by two square towers. The ground floor presents the state rooms. On the storey are found the bedrooms with tapestries and a decoration of plasterwork.
