Historique
History
This bell tower is the last vestige of the first castle which was constructed at Lahitte and which was nearly destroyed by the Wars of Religion. A church was attached to it around 1860. The structure presents a square plan. The foundations rest on a rocky escarpment. Two doors were pierced at the foot of the tower to allow access to the church. To ensure greater stability, the tower was decapitated by four metres. Two openings are framed by sculpted white stones, and doubled.
