Il est fréquent, dans le Gers, de voir une église rurale bâtie près d'une motte féodale. Les empatements de mur à l'est et au nord rendent encore visibles les parties romanes de l'église. L'édifice roman devait être voûté en berceau. Une des chapelles daterait de 1665. Selon les croyances locales, la motte féodale à proximité renfermerait la tombe d'un chef gaulois enterré avec un trésor en pièces d'or.

History
It is frequent, in Gers, to see a rural church built near a feudal motte. The wall seatings to the east and north still make visible the Romanesque parts of the church. The Romanesque building was to have been vaulted in barrel vault. One of the chapels would date from 1665. According to local beliefs, the feudal motte nearby would contain the tomb of a Gallic chief buried with a treasure in gold coins.
