Historique
Ancienne abbaye fontevriste fondée en 1140 et construite à l'époque gothique. Les bâtiments remontent majoritairement au 18e siècle, avec quelques vestiges romans (portail nord de l'église) et du 14e siècle. Désaffectée et vendue comme bien national à la Révolution. L'ensemble du monastère a survécu à la Révolution. L'église est flanquée des bâtiments claustraux au nord. L'entrée dans la nef se fait par un portail gothique présentant une série de colonnettes avec chapiteaux ouvragés. A l'angle nord-ouest se dresse la tour rectangulaire du clocher dont la flèche domine la galerie au sommet du beffroi. La nef est voûtée d'ogives. Le choeur est éclairé par cinq fenêtres ogivales ornées de vitraux modernes. A l'intérieur du monastère, un portail est daté de 1140.

History
Former Fontevriste abbey founded in 1140 and built in the Gothic period. The buildings date mainly to the 18th century, with some Romanesque remains (north portal of the church) and 14th-century. Decommissioned and sold as national property at the Revolution. The entire monastery complex survived the Revolution. The church is flanked by cloister buildings to the north. Entry into the nave is made by a Gothic portal presenting a series of small columns with ornate capitals. At the north-west corner stands the rectangular bell tower whose spire dominates the gallery at the top of the belfry. The nave is vaulted with ribs. The choir is lit by five ogival windows adorned with modern stained glass. Within the monastery, a portal is dated 1140.
