Historique
La fondation de l'abbaye de Saint-Orens remonte à l'an 960. A la suite d'une réorganisation, les Bénédictins de Cluny la transformèrent en prieuré en 1068. La consécration de l'église prieurale eut lieu en 1075. Les vestiges des bâtiments semblent remonter au 14e siècle. Une grande partie a été détruite pour l'établissement de la route nationale. Il subsiste trois travées de la chapelle prieurale voûtées sur croisée d'ogives. L'énorme tour a conservé quelques fenêtres à croisillons et une bretèche, qui n'est peut-être que d'anciennes latrines.

History
The foundation of the abbey of Saint-Orens dates back to the year 960. Following a reorganisation, the Benedictines of Cluny transformed it into a priory in 1068. The consecration of the priory church took place in 1075. The remains of the buildings appear to date from the 14th century. A large part was destroyed for the establishment of the national road. There remain three bays of the priory chapel vaulted on a crossing of ogives. The enormous tower has retained some windows with mullions and a bretèche, which may be nothing more than old latrines.
