Historique

History
Built in the third quarter of the 18th century, the château rather resembles a large master's house with dependencies. Constructed on a rectangular plan, with four corner towers. The principal façade on the street presents the classical proportions of 18th-century houses (elevation with two storeys separated by brick mouldings, and ended by an attic band). The three central bays are surmounted by a triangular pediment pierced with an oculus. The originality of the building consists in the design adopted for the upper part of the four corner towers: semicircular pediments, pierced with oculi, on three faces. The interior plan is significant of the new conceptions of family and domestic life in the 18th century (rooms in enfilade on the main façades and service rooms at the rear, separated by a service corridor). Dwelling enlarged in the 19th century. In the two courtyards on either side, communs rebuilt around 1900.
