Construit à la fin du 17e siècle par Etienne de Bertier, seigneur du Vernet, ce moulin à farine comprend une salle unique en rez-de-chaussée : la salle des meules où tournaient 4 paires de meules. Celles-ci étaient entraînées par l'énergie apportée par un canal d'amenée à cinq voies d'eau, sous des arches soutenues par des piliers semi-circulaires. Ce canal se réduisant, à l'aval, à un canal de fuite à trois voies, sous deux arches encadrant une arche plus petite. Restauré dans les années 1990 dans les parties hautes en appareil mixte (terre crue, brique et galet) , et à l'intérieur par un dallage de verre au dessus des chambres d'eau rarement visibles. Le moulin fonctionnait encore à la demande au lendemain de la guerre.

History
Built at the end of the 17th century by Etienne de Bertier, lord of Vernet, this flour mill comprises a single room at ground level: the millstone room where 4 pairs of millstones turned. These were driven by energy provided by a supply canal with five water bays, under arches supported by semi-circular pillars. This canal reducing, downstream, to a discharge canal with three bays, under two arches framing a smaller arch. Restored in the 1990s in the upper parts in mixed construction (raw earth, brick and pebble), and inside by a glass floor above the water chambers rarely visible. The mill was still working on demand in the aftermath of the war.
