Petit édifice en briques, datant de la fin du 16e ou du début du 17e siècle. La façade extérieure présente des piédroits surmontés de tourelles rectangulaires, en encorbellement avec meurtrières, encadrant une travée de deux étages dont l'un est décoré d'un fronton. Le couronnement des tourelles a été dérasé pour simplifier la toiture. A l'étage se trouve une salle qui servait pour les réunions du conseil politique. Cette porte faisait partie des anciennes fortifications qui ont été démolies. Elle appartient à un groupe de trois portes, avec celles des Clottes et du Trou du loup. La porte a été dénommée "Vauraise" car elle se trouve orientée du côté de la route qui conduit à Lavaur.

History
Small brick building, dating from the end of the 16th or beginning of the 17th century. The outer façade presents jambs surmounted by rectangular turrets, corbelled with loopholes, framing a bay of two storeys one of which is decorated with a pediment. The crowning of the turrets was cut away to simplify the roof. On the upper storey is found a room which served for meetings of the political council. This gate was part of the old fortifications which were demolished. It belongs to a group of three gates, with those of Clottes and Trou du loup. The gate was named "Vauraise" because it is oriented towards the side of the road leading to Lavaur.
