Tour édifiée par le capitoul Pierre de Serta, en 1533. Elle servait d'escalier aux deux immeubles, situés aux n°2 et 4 rue Saint-Rome. La tour veille sur les quatre coins des changes. C'est une tour carrée, cantonnée à un angle par une tourelle ronde contenant l'escalier. L'escalier aboutit sur la plateforme qui est entourée d'un mur. La tourelle d'escalier est terminée par une pyramide hexagonale régulière, en briques. La tour est constituée de plusieurs salles superposées, voûtées d'ogives en briques, tombant sur des culs de lampe. Une rangée d'arcatures contourne la tour au niveau du sol de la plateforme.

History
Tower built by the capitoul Pierre de Serta, in 1533. It served as a staircase for the two buildings, located at nos. 2 and 4 rue Saint-Rome. The tower watches over the four corners of the exchanges. It is a square tower, flanked at one angle by a round turret containing the staircase. The staircase leads onto the platform which is surrounded by a wall. The staircase turret is terminated by a regular hexagonal pyramid, in bricks. The tower consists of several superimposed rooms, vaulted with rib vaults in bricks, resting on corbels. A row of arcatures runs around the tower at the level of the platform floor.
