Ce segment d'enceinte partait du fleuve et longeait le Clos Taillefer ou Clos de l'Hôpital jusqu'à la Porte Réclusane. L'enceinte du 14e siècle fut abîmée à maintes reprises par des inondations. Vers 1430, reconstruction sur cette partie d'un mur haut de 5, 40m. En 1513, la ville entreprend un grand chantier pour édifier des tours de défense le long des remparts. Onze tours sont bâties, dont quatre sur ce segment. Les aménagements urbains du 18e siècle entraînent la démolition de l'enceinte Saint-Cyprien, sauf sur ce segment.

History
This section of enceinte departed from the river and ran along the Clos Taillefer or Clos de l'Hôpital as far as the Porte Réclusane. The 14th-century enceinte was damaged on many occasions by floods. Around 1430, reconstruction on this section of a wall 5.40m high. In 1513, the city undertakes a large site to erect defensive towers along the ramparts. Eleven towers are built, four of which on this section. Urban developments in the 18th century lead to the demolition of the Saint-Cyprien enceinte, except on this section.
