Librairie-papeterie Vivès ouverte au début du 20e siècle avec une devanture Art Nouveau, rare à Toulouse. Le magasin n'est plus une librairie, et sa devanture, récemment restaurée, occupe aujourd'hui la façade d'un hôtel de voyageurs. L'édifice est situé à l'emplacement d'un ancien collège fondé par Pierre de Montruc, cardinal de Pampelonne. La décoration a été réalisée en stuc et recouvrait à l'origine tout le sous-bassement d'un immeuble romantique construit dans la seconde moitié du 19e siècle. Au niveau de la vitrine, le chassis de bois forme un réseau de lignes sinueuses repris sur les murs et dans la partie supérieure de l'arcature. Les consoles supportant le balcon reprennent ce thème végétal exubérant. A partir des deux clés formant ainsi consoles, s'échappent des brassées de feuillages sur fond de draperie tapissant toute la façade.

History
Vivès library-stationery shop opened at the beginning of the 20th century with an Art Nouveau storefront, rare in Toulouse. The shop is no longer a library, and its recently restored storefront now occupies the façade of a hotel for travellers. The edifice is situated on the site of an ancient college founded by Pierre de Montruc, cardinal of Pampelona. The decoration was carried out in stucco and originally covered the entire socle of a Romantic building constructed in the second half of the 19th century. At the level of the display window, the wooden framework forms a network of sinuous lines taken up on the walls and in the upper part of the arcading. The consoles supporting the balcony take up this exuberant vegetative theme.
