Historique
La construction fut commencée en 1602, lorsque les Chartreux vinrent s'installer à Toulouse à la suite de l'incendie de leur couvent de Saix au cours des guerres de Religion. L'église fut consacrée en 1612. L'aspect actuel de l'édifice est celui résultant des travaux terminés en 1787. L'édifice se compose d'un sanctuaire central de plan carré, dominé par une lanterne couverte d'un dôme ajouré, ajouté entre 1780 et 1787. A l'est se trouve le choeur des religieux et à l'ouest la nef des fidèles. Le choeur des religieux se compose d'un vaisseau couvert d'une voûte en berceau en plâtre. La nef des fidèles, moins longue, est flanquée de part et d'autre de trois chapelles latérales. Elle se trouve précédée d'un narthex. Le sanctuaire central est orné d'un ordre corinthien. L'ensemble a conservé tout son décor ancien. Cloître du 17e siècle. La plus grande partie des bâtiments a disparu au cours de son affectation comme arsenal au 19e siècle.

History
Construction began in 1602, when the Carthusians came to settle in Toulouse following the fire of their convent at Saix during the Wars of Religion. The church was consecrated in 1612. The present appearance of the building is that resulting from works completed in 1787. The building comprises a central sanctuary of square plan, dominated by a lantern covered with a pierced dome, added between 1780 and 1787. To the east is found the choir of the religious and to the west the nave of the faithful. The choir of the religious comprises a single vessel covered with a barrel vault in plaster. The nave of the faithful, less long, is flanked on either side by three lateral chapels. It is preceded by a narthex. The central sanctuary is adorned with a Corinthian order. The whole has retained all its original decoration. Cloister of the 17th century. The greater part of the buildings disappeared during its use as an arsenal in the 19th century.
