Historique
Château bâti par Guillaume de Rudelle, fils de Jean de Rudelle, conseiller. En 1783, Ingres père y séjourna et peignit plusieurs plafonds. A la Révolution, la propriété est saisie comme bien national et vendue aux enchères. L'édifice présente un plan rectangulaire cantonné, à ses angles, de tours carrées. Côté sud, une tour carrée est en très légère saillie. L'étage supérieur, immédiatement sous le toit, possède, façades sud et nord, une suite d'arcades en anse de panier. Plusieurs fenêtres à meneaux ouvragés ornent la façade. Le rez-de-chaussée, autrefois occupé par les communs, était indépendant du reste du château. Les étages sont desservis par un escalier à vis en bois.

History
Castle built by Guillaume de Rudelle, son of Jean de Rudelle, counsellor. In 1783, Ingres the Elder stayed there and painted several ceilings. At the Revolution, the property was seized as national property and sold at auction. The building presents a rectangular plan cantonned, at its angles, by square towers. On the south side, a square tower is in very slight projection. The upper storey, immediately beneath the roof, possesses, on south and north façades, a series of basket-handle arches. Several windows with worked mullions ornament the façade. The ground floor, formerly occupied by outbuildings, was independent of the rest of the castle. The storeys are served by a wooden spiral staircase.
