Historique
Les communs du château sont constitués de trois bâtiments en briques, disposés en U, délimitant une cour répondant à celle du château. Le pigeonnier, de la fin du 16e ou du début du 17e siècle, est bâti sur huit arcades en pleine pente, des socles rattrapant la dénivellation. De cet ouvrage ne subsistent que les arcades et la base du corps, la toiture s'étant écroulée en 1936 et la maçonnerie ayant en partie été démolie pour récupérer les matériaux. Dans le dénombrement du château d'Espanès en 1639 est attesté un moulin à vent banal. Du moulin, il subsiste la tour tronconique, haute d'environ 6 mètres, à un étage, en maçonnerie de brique avec traces d'enduit. Deux escaliers tournants, extérieurs, desservent le rez-de-chaussée surélevé, témoignant vraisemblablement de l'existence de deux coupes de meules.

History
The castle outbuildings consist of three brick buildings, arranged in U shape, delimiting a courtyard corresponding to that of the castle. The dovecote, from the late 16th or early 17th century, is built on eight arcades in sloped courses, bases making up the level difference. Of this structure only the arcades and the base of the body remain, the roof having collapsed in 1936 and the masonry having been partly demolished to recover materials. In the enumeration of the castle of Espanès in 1639 is attested a banal windmill. Of the mill, there remains the truncated cone tower, about 6 metres high, of one storey, in brick masonry with traces of render. Two external spiral staircases serve the raised ground floor, testifying probably to the existence of two millstone sets.
