Historique
L'église remonte sans doute au 12e-13e siècle. La façade avec son clocher a été aménagée au 14e siècle. Les dégâts subis par l'édifice, en 1574, dans le contexte des guerres de Religion, eurent pour conséquence la reconstruction de la nef entre 1599 et 1618. A partir de 1620, des travaux d'embellissement occupent l'édifice jusqu'au 19e siècle : élargissement de l'église par acquisition de maisons voisines, mise en place du mobilier. Les voûtes de briques sur croisées d'ogives et doubleaux ont été lancées entre 1853-1859. C'est une église de type gothique méridional à nef unique comportant cinq travées ouvrant par de grandes arcades en plein cintre sur dix chapelles latérales.

History
The church dates back no doubt to the 12th-13th century. The facade with its bell tower was arranged in the 14th century. The damage suffered by the building in 1574, in the context of the Wars of Religion, resulted in the reconstruction of the nave between 1599 and 1618. From 1620 onwards, works of embellishment occupy the building until the 19th century: enlargement of the church by acquisition of neighbouring houses, installation of furnishings. The brick vaults on rib vaults with doubleaus were launched between 1853-1859. It is a church of southern Gothic type with a single nave comprising five bays opening by large round arches onto ten side chapels.
