Le château remonte au 14e siècle. De cette époque subsiste le donjon carré avec fenêtres à croisillons. L'aile qui lui fait suite a été remaniée aux 17e et 18e siècles. Un deuxième corps de bâtiment en équerre est rattaché au premier avec un escalier à vis du 15e siècle. Sainte Emilie de Rodat y passa son enfance, et y eut la révélation de sa vocation religieuse.

History
The castle dates back to the 14th century. From this period subsists the square keep with cross-bar windows. The wing which follows it was remodelled in the 17th and 18th centuries. A second body of building at right angles is attached to the first with a spiral staircase of the 15th century. Saint Emily of Rodat spent her childhood there, and there had the revelation of her religious vocation.
