History
Built around 1200 by the chapter of Rodez to protect the possessions it had just acquired, the castle flanked by four large towers served as a refuge and retreat for six canons during wars. Later, they made it their country house. The pointed-arched entrance door opens between two turrets topped with stone pepper-pot roofs. The facades are fitted with loopholes. Access to the residence is by a 15th century door. The chapel became a parish church. It contains a holy water basin hollowed out of a capital of white marble dating from the Gallo-Roman period.
