En 1273, la terre et son château ont été donnés par les comtes de Rodez à la maison d'Aubrac. Ancienne demeure fortifiée féodale, demeure du cardinal d'Armagnac, dont l'appareil militaire a sans doute été amputé de divers éléments, mais dont l'essentiel des dispositions demeure. Les dispositions d'origine se lisent parfaitement. Le château était composé d'un donjon rectangulaire du 13e siècle, remanié au 14e, et d'un corps de logis accolé sur sa face ouest, un mur de courtine flanqué de quatre tours d'angle délimitant une cour intérieure. History
In 1273, the land and its castle were given by the counts of Rodez to the house of Aubrac. Former fortified feudal dwelling, residence of the cardinal of Armagnac, whose military apparatus was doubtless stripped of various elements, but whose essential arrangements remain. The original arrangements are perfectly legible. The castle was composed of a rectangular keep of the 13th century, reworked in the 14th, and a main dwelling attached to its west face, a curtain wall flanked by four corner towers delimiting an inner courtyard. In its present state, the whole dates from the 14th century. Arrangements date from the cardinal of Armagnac, such as the portal bearing an inscription dated 1546, and the interior gallery. Chapel of the 15th century with rib vault. The interior rooms have retained their timber beams and chimney, as well as certain pieces of furniture. In front of the north façade of the castle stands a cross, dated 1579.
