Historique
Demeure du 17e siècle, lieu de mémoire de Marc-Guillaume Alexis Vadier, député du Tiers-Etat à la Convention et créateur du département de l'Ariège. Le domaine de Peyroutet, ancien prieuré dépendant de l'évêché de Pamiers, est resté inchangé depuis le départ en exil de Vadier en 1816. Le domaine comprend une maison de maître avec une partie habitation, le pigeonnier et les communs ; la maison du régisseur ; un four en maçonnerie ; le parc planté au 18e siècle. Le bâtiment principal se compose d'un rez-de-chaussée réservé aux cuisines et pièces de service, un étage avec salon et pièces principales, un dernier niveau mansardé regroupant les chambres. Les pièces ont conservé les papiers peints, boiseries et ferronneries d'époque.

History
Dwelling of the 17th century, place of memory of Marc-Guillaume Alexis Vadier, deputy of the Third Estate at the Convention and creator of the department of Ariège. The estate of Peyroutet, former priory dependent on the bishopric of Pamiers, has remained unchanged since Vadier's departure into exile in 1816. The estate comprises a master's house with a residential section, the dovecot and the outbuildings; the steward's house; a masonry oven; the park planted in the 18th century. The main building consists of a ground floor reserved for kitchens and service rooms, one floor with salon and principal rooms, an upper mansard level grouping the bedrooms. The rooms have retained the wallpapers, woodwork and ironwork of the period.
