Historique
Eglise romane dont le choeur a été surélevé durant les guerres de Religion, et le clocher ruiné à la même époque. Il s'élevait sur la croisée et ses amorces existent encore. La voûte de la nef est moderne, ainsi que les arcs doubleaux et les colonnes qui les portent. La façade ouest n'avait pas de porte. Un soubassement de plusieurs assises en retrait la protégeait contre la rivière. La porte actuelle est moderne. La porte primitive se trouve au nord et sert à faire communiquer la nef et une chapelle. Au sud, une petite porte ouvrait sur le prieuré. L'abside a perdu sa corniche mais conserve trois fenêtres. Le transept nord est orné d'un retable en stuc du 17e siècle. History
Romanesque church of which the choir was raised during the Wars of Religion, and the bell tower ruined in the same period. It rose over the crossing and its abutments still exist. The vault of the nave is modern, as are the doubleaux and the columns which carry them. The west façade had no door. A base of several courses in setback protected it against the river. The present door is modern. The primitive door is found to the north and serves to make the nave communicate with a chapel. To the south, a small door opened onto the priory. The apse has lost its cornice but preserves three windows. The north transept is ornamented with a stucco retable of the 17th century. This church may be cited as representative of the small Romanesque churches of the lower valleys of the Ariège, as it has undergone no essential modification.
