The strategic position of the peak explains its occupation from Roman times. Different building campaigns in the 14th, 17th and 18th centuries. The château experienced significant fighting during the Wars of Religion, and was taken in 1586 by the lord of Anelon, Protestant. The enclosure is no longer very visible. The 14th century part comprises a rectangular mass ornamented with a round arch window to the south, and a trilobed window to the north. It contains the chapel, a pointed arch room with sculptures at the springing of the ribs and a Gothic door. At the corner, a tower which must have been the first keep. It is there that the spiral staircase and the dungeon are located. The 16th century construction is adjacent to the previous one, to the north. Provided with machicolations and grooves intended for the play of wooden beams. The third part dates from 1712, it is in large rubble stone and shows, to the south, a few Renaissance openings. It contains large halls with arched vaults.
