Historique
Ancienne chapelle du château des comtes de Comminges. L'édifice appartient à la fin du 12e siècle, hormis une travée ajoutée à l'ouest au 15e siècle. La porte d'entrée primitive est au sud, abritée sous un porche moins ancien. Elle se compose de trois rangs d'archivoltes et de six colonnettes dont la sculpture est intacte. A droite de la porte se trouve une niche carrée contenant la statue en bas-relief de Saint-Pierre assis et bénissant. Toute la chapelle a été surélevée et crénelée. Le clocher présente des arcades placées 2-2-1. Les deux arcades du bas sont cantonnées de colonnettes. Le premier étage est couronné par un rang de petites arcatures sur corbelets et par un crénelage composé de quatre merlons à chaperon incliné. Au deuxième étage, le mur laisse, à l'ouest, une galerie dont les eaux sont emmenées par deux gargouilles. Le troisième étage ne comporte qu'une arcade avec colonnettes.

History
Former chapel of the castle of the counts of Comminges. The building dates from the late 12th century, except for one bay added to the west in the 15th century. The original entrance door is on the south, sheltered under a less old porch. It consists of three rows of archivolts and six small columns whose sculpture is intact. To the right of the door is a square niche containing the statue in bas-relief of Saint-Peter seated and blessing. The entire chapel has been raised and crenellated. The bell tower has arcades placed 2-2-1. The two lower arcades are flanked by small columns. The first floor is crowned by a row of small arcatures on corbels and by a crenellation composed of four merlons with inclined cap. On the second floor, the wall has, to the west, a gallery whose waters are carried away by two gargoyles. The third floor has only one arcade with small columns.
