History

Rectangular main dwelling flanked to the south by a circular staircase turret with three-quarters projecting, and to the east, on the corners, by two gun turrets. The staircase turret and the west wing date from the 16th century; the east wing from the 17th; the interior decoration from the 18th. The oldest part preserves a barrel-vaulted room with coursed masonry and a large fireplace with bread oven. The east wing comprises two rooms entirely covered with full-height wainscot: the dining room with Louis XV mouldings painted in contrasting colour; the great salon with Louis XIV mouldings with beam ceilings and pine parquet. On the first floor, the west bedroom is also decorated with full-height Louis XIV wainscot and a 19th-century fireplace in wood painted black surmounted by an overmantel with fluted small columns. In the attic, the alcove bedroom is decorated with 19th-century wallpaper.
