Manor with architecture characteristic of Cantal châteaux which combine classical design and use of traditional local materials. The fief is mentioned for the first time in 1379. The building presents a medieval structure (14th-15th century), a chapel from the early 17th, and a main dwelling rearranged in the 18th century after a fire. Originally, the château consisted of a keep surrounded by a fortified enclosure (central dwelling and three towers). In the early 17th century, the chapel was decorated with mural paintings. In the 18th century, a fire destroyed a large part of the keep which lost its circular staircase turret on the façade, and its crowning of machicolations. The present central projection, the openings, as well as the interior woodwork correspond to the reconstructions of this period. Under the Restoration, the room known as "Madame's" was transformed into a salon and provided with a wallpaper overdoor.
