L'appellation du domaine provient de l'existence, au 17e siècle, d'un "martinet", usine à forger le cuivre. History
The name of the estate comes from the existence, in the 17th century, of a "martinet", a copper-forging mill. This grange with an apse, built in 1670, would represent the last example of a type of agricultural building that was frequent in this region of Auvergne until the Revolution. The grange is situated above the stable to facilitate the feeding of livestock and to ensure long winter housing. A lean-to, called a "védelat", of more recent date, was added to it to the south-west. Composed of disparate elements from the 18th and 19th centuries, the château is of lesser interest. The park was remade in the middle of the 19th century.
