Construction characteristic of military architecture of the late Middle Ages in Upper Auvergne. Vestige of a larger complex, this rectangular keep with very thick walls, rare narrow openings and roofing crowned with machicolations, has retained the essential features of its original layout. The interior, consisting of a single room per level, presents elements of authentic decoration (monumental moulded fireplaces).
