Historique

History
Church of the 12th century, formed of a nave with two aisles, terminated by a semi-circular chevet flanked by two absidioles. The nave, divided into five bays, is separated from the aisles by two rows of five square pillars flanked on their four faces by engaged columns. The crossing is covered with a dome on squinch pendentives in apse form, surmounted by a square bell tower. On each side of the sanctuary, two absidioles are vaulted in apse form. Chevet of seven bays. The 13th-century portal is surmounted by a niche containing an old wooden statue; the hinges do not appear to be earlier than the 13th century. Auvergnat influence is found in the carved baskets of the capitals. The columns of the eaves walls are surmounted by figured basket capitals, the same for the two piles at the entrance to the transept, the columns at the entrance of the absidioles, and on either side of the entrance to the choir.
