History

The park is located at the eastern periphery of the former old town where a convent of Celestines had been established. At the beginning of the 19th century, construction of the west building and a wooden pavilion covering the spring. At the beginning of the 20th century, the pavilion was replaced by a stone edifice, and an orangery was added to the east. The first building, neo-classical, is a small edifice in L-shaped plan, at one level, which opens onto the park by a series of round arch arcades, falling to the left on pilasters and to the right on engaged columns. The spring is situated in a fountain formed by a basin and an arch adorned with volutes, scrollwork and motifs recalling the gushing of water. The orangery is a small edifice in L-shaped plan, with large round arch windows, and pilasters surmounted by paired consoles.
