Historique
La construction du nouvel établissement thermal fut décidée en 1898. Les stations thermales allemandes et autrichiennes étant alors à l'avant-garde, Charles Fère, directeur de la Compagnie Fermière, partit en visiter avec son ingénieur Guérin, et l'architecte Lecoeur. Les travaux commencèrent en 1899 et l'établissement fut inauguré en 1903. Une aile supplémentaire fut ajoutée en 1934. Le pavillon central est couvert d'une coupole. Le hall d'entrée ouvre sur l'extérieur par trois portes plein cintre entièrement vitrées et surmontées d'un vitrage multicolore. La coupole, inspirée des constructions arabes, se compose d'un tambour octogonal recouvert de grès flammé, et d'une calotte légèrement pointue. Sur la façade nord de 1934 se trouvent deux châteaux d'eau en léger retrait par rapport à son centre. Ils présentent l'aspect de deux tours fortifiées avec de pseudo ouvertures défensives. A l'intérieur, le hall d'entrée est orné des peintures d'Alphonse Osbert. La salle de mécanothérapie a conservé tous ses instruments de rééducation créés par un médecin suisse du début du siècle. La cabine grand luxe est ornée de faïence émaillée à motifs aquatiques.

History
The construction of the new thermal establishment was decided in 1898. As German and Austrian thermal stations were then at the forefront, Charles Fère, director of the Fermière Company, went to visit them with his engineer Guérin, and the architect Lecoeur. Work began in 1899 and the establishment was inaugurated in 1903. An additional wing was added in 1934. The central pavilion is covered with a dome. The entrance hall opens to the exterior by three fully glazed round-arch doors surmounted by multicoloured glazing. The dome, inspired by Arab constructions, consists of an octagonal drum covered in flamed sandstone, and a slightly pointed calotte. On the north façade of 1934 are two water towers in slight setback from its centre. They present the appearance of two fortified towers with pseudo defensive openings. Inside, the entrance hall is decorated with paintings by Alphonse Osbert. The mechanotherapy room has preserved all its rehabilitation instruments created by a Swiss doctor of the early century. The deluxe cabin is decorated with enamelled faience with aquatic motifs.
