Historique

History
The oldest part of the castle consists of a main dwelling-keep flanked by a half-projecting stair turret, and was erected at the end of the medieval period. This building, surrounded by an outer enclosure of which only the outline subsists, was extended towards the west in the early 17th century. Certain interior decorations also date from the 17th century. Around 1870, architect Moreau was commissioned with the enlargement of the castle, the construction of outbuildings and an entrance pavilion. These new buildings are realised in a neo-medieval style allowing their integration with the old parts. The park of the 17th and 18th centuries was replaced in the 19th century by a garden in the English style.
