Historique
Edifice du 12e siècle comprenant une nef de trois travées, des bas-côtés et un transept sur lequel ouvre une abside en hémicycle flanquée de deux absidioles. Le carré du transept est encadré de piliers cruciformes à colonnes engagées qui reçoivent les arcs en plein cintre. La coupole est portée sur des trompes sur tablettes horizontales. La nef, voûtée d'un berceau sans doubleaux, est flanquée de grandes arcades en plein cintre reçues par des colonnes engagées dans les piles rectangulaires. Des voûtes en quart de cercle couvrent les bas-côtés. Au 15e siècle, adjonction d'une chapelle au nord. A l'extérieur, porche en bois du 16e siècle. Quelques modillons subsistent sous la corniche du chevet. Le clocher carré, élevé sur la croisée, est percé de deux baies en plein cintre sur chaque face. History
Building of the 12th century comprising a nave of three bays, aisles and a transept on which opens a hemicircular apse flanked by two small absidioles. The square of the transept is framed by cruciform pillars with engaged columns which receive the round arches. The dome is carried on squinches on horizontal tablets. The nave, vaulted with a barrel vault without transverse arches, is flanked by great round arches received by columns engaged in the rectangular piers. Vaults in a quarter circle cover the aisles. In the 15th century, addition of a chapel to the north. On the exterior, wooden porch of the 16th century. Some corbels remain under the cornice of the chevet. The square bell tower, raised on the crossing, is pierced by two round arches on each face. This building is characteristic of Romanesque architecture in Bourbonnais.
