History

Romanesque building almost entirely rebuilt in the 15th century. Of the primitive church subsist the hemicycle apse, flanked to the north by an apsidiole, both preceded by straight bays, and the façade wall. These two parts are joined by a 15th-century nave, accompanied by an aisle terminated by a flat chevet. The façade door, in Burgundian Romanesque style, is surrounded by a round arch archivolte with voussures furnished with checkerwork, palmettes, egg-and-dart and billets, received on each side by three small columns with capitals of interlace work. On the straight bay of the apse rises a square bell tower of Romanesque period, pierced with an opening on each face of the first level, and with two openings separated by twin small columns on the second. This second storey is furnished with triangular angle slopes which prepare the springing of an octagonal stone spire, dating from the 14th century.
