History
Trapezoidal edifice of the 13th century, flanked at the four angles by round towers and each long side defended by a square keep. The edifice was built on the site of an ancient castrum (discovery of Gallo-Roman bronzes in 1867). It perhaps represents the oldest of the feudal fortresses in the region.
