Des constructions du 15e siècle, restent le mur d'enceinte flanqué de deux tours, une tour isolée et une tourelle, le tout relié par des constructions modernes. La porte fortifiée comprend deux meurtrières à l'ouverture "amovible". L'ouverture extérieure est bouchée par un ovoïde qui porte en son milieu un trou par lequel le guetteur pouvait tirer. Le coup parti, l'ovoïde pivotait pour obturer entièrement l'ouverture."

History
Defensive fortress which occupied an important position on the borders of the Bourbonnais. Of the constructions of the 15th century, there remain the encircling wall flanked by two towers, an isolated tower and a turret, all connected by modern constructions. The fortified gate comprises two loopholes with the opening "removable". The external opening is blocked by an ovoid which bears in its centre a hole through which the watchman could shoot.
