Vieille construction féodale située à l'entrée de la vallée, dont la galerie haute permettait une vue assez étendue et commandait le passage de l'Allier à hauteur de Châtel-de-Neuvre. Haute de 14 mètres, de plan carré, avec des murs dont l'épaisseur varie de 1, 50 à 2, 10 mètres. L'entrée de l'escalier, situé sous la tour, ne communique pas avec l'intérieur, mais avec l'extérieur. La tour était entourée de fossés en eau. Cette tour offre un exemple de l'architecture militaire en Bourbonnais.

History
Old feudal construction situated at the entrance to the valley, whose high gallery allowed quite an extensive view and commanded the passage of the Allier at the height of Châtel-de-Neuvre. 14 metres high, of square plan, with walls whose thickness varies from 1.50 to 2.10 metres. The openings present a particular arrangement: one of the faces is cut perpendicular to the wall, the other is oblique. The entrance to the staircase, situated under the tower, does not communicate with the interior, but with the exterior. The tower was surrounded by water-filled moats. This tower offers an example of military architecture in Bourbonnais.
