Château édifié à la fin du Moyen Age par la famille Chareil, propriétaire du fief. Quelques aménagements Renaissance vers le milieu du 16e siècle. Au 18e siècle, construction d'une partie des communs. Pendant la Révolution, le domaine est vendu comme bien national. L'Etat achète le domaine le 10 octobre 1958. Le château comporte un corps de logis flanqué de deux tours circulaires aux angles nord-ouest et sud-ouest.

History
Castle built at the end of the Middle Ages by the Chareil family, owner of the fief. Some Renaissance arrangements towards the middle of the 16th century. In the 18th century, construction of part of the outbuildings. During the Revolution, the estate was sold as national property. The State purchased the estate on 10 October 1958. The castle comprises a main dwelling flanked by two circular towers at the north-west and south-west angles.
