Edifice d'ordonnance classique, reconstruit en 1740 à l'emplacement d'un château fort médiéval dont il subsiste la tour ronde au sud-ouest. Le château n'a pas subi de modifications depuis le 18e siècle, hormis la disparition des lucarnes côté jardin. Edifié sur une terrasse, le château se compose d'un corps de bâtiment longitudinal s'appuyant de chaque côté sur deux anciennes tours. Vers 1850, la façade sur jardin a été modifiée par l'adjonction de deux avant-corps à un niveau dont le dessus, en terrasse, est accessible depuis les pièces. ££De chaque côté de la cour se trouvent deux petits pavillons rectangulaires, symétriques, visiblement contemporains du château. Le pavillon de gauche constitue la chapelle et présente, au-dessus de sa porte, une statue de la Vierge dans une niche. Le pavillon de droite contient une ancienne salle de billard. Au nord, présence d'un pigeonnier de plan circulaire. En contre-bas de la terrasse, deux bâtiments à un seul niveau abritent les communs. Contemporains du château, ces édifices ont conservé leur caractère d'origine. Enfin, un petit pavillon hexagonal, cité sous l'appellation "pavillon chinois" dans un inventaire de 1843, est édifié sur une terrasse, sur l'allée menant au château. Un mobilier spécialement conçu pour ce bâtiment avait été conçu au moment de sa construction.

History
Classical building of orderly design, rebuilt in 1740 on the site of a medieval fortress castle, of which there remains the round tower to the south-west. The castle has undergone no modifications since the 18th century, except for the loss of the dormers on the garden side. Built on a terrace, the castle comprises a longitudinal main body resting on two former towers on each side. Around 1850, the garden-facing façade was modified by the addition of two avant-corps at one level, the top of which, in terrace form, is accessible from the rooms. On each side of the courtyard are two small rectangular pavilions, symmetrical, clearly contemporary with the castle. The pavilion on the left constitutes the chapel and presents, above its door, a statue of the Virgin in a niche. The pavilion on the right contains a former billiards room. To the north, there is a circular-plan dovecote. Below the terrace, two single-storey buildings house the outbuildings. Contemporary with the castle, these buildings have retained their original character. Lastly, a small hexagonal pavilion, cited under the name "Chinese pavilion" in an 1843 inventory, is built on a terrace, on the avenue leading to the castle. Furniture specially designed for this building had been created at the time of its construction.
