Doté au cours du 19e siècle de toitures dues à l'architecte Jean Moreau, le donjon médiéval de Laugère a été agrandi à la fin du siècle par l'adjonction d'un corps de bâtiment construit dans le style néo-gothique par René Moreau (fils du précédent) et terminé en 1901. Les communs furent construits juste avant 1914 par l'entrepreneur Charles-Joseph de Souvigny. L'ensemble présente une silhouette équilibrée et assez homogène, au milieu de douves en eau.

History
Endowed in the course of the 19th century with roofs due to architect Jean Moreau, the medieval keep of Laugère was enlarged at the end of the century by the addition of a building constructed in the neo-Gothic style by René Moreau (son of the former) and completed in 1901. The outbuildings were built just before 1914 by contractor Charles-Joseph de Souvigny. The whole presents a balanced and fairly homogeneous silhouette, in the midst of water-filled moats.
