History
The site of Montmoirat existed in the 13th century. The beginning of construction of the present castle dates from 1635. The domain consists of a fortified house surrounded by its outbuildings arranged around an open courtyard. On the north side, two adjoining buildings serving as barn and stable. On the east side, a sheepfold adjoining a dwelling house. This castle forms an interesting ensemble of 17th-century rural architecture.
