Cette maison conserve une porte et une rampe d'escalier en bois tourné d'époque Louis XIII. Des remaniements intérieurs ont fait disparaître la décoration de boiseries et trumeaux habituelle à cette époque. Une restauration maladroite a retiré à la façade le caractère qu'elle pouvait avoir dans l'esprit de la porte parvenue intacte. Un encadrement de pierres en saillie à la manière de bossages forme un plein cintre sur lequel se détache une menuiserie Louis XIII à panneaux rectangulaires, pointe de diamant, dans lesquels s'inscrivent des losanges très en honneur au milieu du 17e siècle. Quant à la rampe d'escalier, elle caractérise le mode de construction de cette époque, présent dans le plus grand nombre des maisons du Puy.

History
This house retains a door and a staircase railing in turned wood from the Louis XIII period. Interior alterations have caused the decoration of woodwork and chimney breasts usual to this period to disappear. An unskillful restoration has removed from the façade the character it could have had in keeping with the spirit of the door which has survived intact. A projecting stone frame in the manner of rustication forms a round arch on which stands out a Louis XIII joinery with rectangular panels, lozenge point, in which are inscribed diamonds very much in favour in the middle of the 17th century. As for the staircase railing, it characterises the construction method of this period, present in the greatest number of houses in Le Puy.
