L'église a suivi en 1340 l'installation des Carmes au Puy. L'édifice se présente aujourd'hui avec cinq travées et deux collatéraux terminés par une abside et des absidioles pentagonales sur les deux faces de l'abside. Les collatéraux nord et sud ont été prolongés en 1840-1845. Façade du 19e siècle (1863-1866). Les chapelles collatérales nord et sud, voûtées d'ogives, doivent être contemporaines de la grande nef. Le voûtement a entièrement été refait en 1867. L'intérieur marque une architecture très franciscaine.

History
The church followed in 1340 the establishment of the Carmelites at Le Puy. The building today presents five bays and two aisles terminated by an apse and pentagonal absidioles on the two faces of the apse. The north and south aisles were extended in 1840-1845. Façade of the 19th century (1863-1866). The north and south collateral chapels, vaulted with ribs, must be contemporary with the great nave. The vaulting was entirely remade in 1867. The interior displays a very Franciscan architecture.
