On comptait autrefois plus d'une dizaine de moulins à Ally, le plateau situé à 900 mètres d'altitude étant particulièrement propice au développement de ce type d'édifice. Du type moulin-tour, daté de 1817, cet édifice circulaire est bâti en moellons ; il est coiffé d'une toiture conique composée d'une charpente tournante recouverte d'un voligeage jointif garni de couvre-joints ; les ailes de bois ont été refaites ; une perche emmanchée dans la charpente permet la rotation de l'ensemble du toit. Le moulin a été restauré par une association.

History
Once there were more than a dozen mills at Ally, the plateau situated at 900 metres altitude being particularly conducive to the development of this type of edifice. Of the tower-mill type, dated 1817, this circular edifice is built in rubble stone; it is topped with a conical roof composed of a rotating roof structure covered with close-fitted boarding furnished with cover-joints; the wooden blades have been remade; a pole fixed in the roof structure allows the rotation of the entire roof. The mill has been restored by an association.
