Historique

History
Bridge mentioned in 1264, whose name could mean "three farthings", a reminder of the toll. The Way of Saint James of Compostela used this bridge, which formerly controlled one of the main roads leading to Puy-en-Velay. Structure five metres wide, stretching over more than two hundred metres. Only two arches pass over the river bed. The rest covers cultivated land, doubtless testifying to a formerly more important river bed. Two buried arches serve as cellars. The arches are irregular and low, showing a slight break with old voussoirs, except for one arch entirely remade in the modern period. The north end shows decay that may be earlier than the Romanesque period. This structure testifies to a construction earlier than the battered bridges of the Gothic period.
