Historique
La nef et le transept de cet édifice ont été refaits au 19e siècle par l'architecte Mallet. Le choeur, son déambulatoire, ses chapelles absidiales sont de style roman auvergnat. Le choeur se termine en hémicycle, et porte sur des colonnes monocylindriques reliées par des archivoltes. Son premier étage comprend une série d'arcatures, en partie aveugles, en partie à jour. History
The nave and transept of this building were remade in the 19th century by the architect Mallet. The choir, its ambulatory, its apsidal chapels are of Auvergnat Romanesque style. The choir terminates in a hemicycle, and rests on monocylindrical columns linked by archivolts. Its first storey comprises a series of arcading, partly blind, partly open. It is vaulted with a barrel vault terminating in a half-dome. The ambulatory is pierced with three semi-circular chapels. The right part, on each side of the choir, is vaulted with a half barrel vault, according to the Auvergnat method; the circular part is vaulted with ribs, by bays. The capitals are ornamented or historiated. The grille closing the central apsidal chapel goes back to the 13th century.
