En 1613, le couvent des Récollets est fondé sur l'emplacement d'un petit couvent des Pères du Saint-Esprit, par la volonté de Charlotte de Beaufort-Canillac, comtesse de Montfan, dont la fille était malade. En 1791, le couvent fut vendu à un acquéreur qui semble l'avoir dépecé en vendant trois côtés du cloître ainsi que les dalles. De ce couvent ne subsiste qu'une aile où se trouvait la salle capitulaire, encore voûtée d'arêtes, servant maintenant de salon. La façade principale, orientée à l'ouest, par laquelle s'effectue l'entrée, est le seul vestige de l'ancien cloître. Cette façade est à deux niveaux et le rez-de-chaussée, en avancée, est constitué de quatre arcades appareillées. Deux petites pièces encadrent cette galerie voûtée d'arêtes surbaissées.

History
In 1613, the convent of the Recollects was founded on the site of a small convent of the Fathers of the Holy Spirit, at the wish of Charlotte de Beaufort-Canillac, countess of Montfan, whose daughter was ill. In 1791, the convent was sold to a purchaser who appears to have dismantled it by selling three sides of the cloister as well as the slabs. Of this convent there remains only a wing where the chapter house was located, still vaulted with a groin vault, now serving as a salon. The main façade, facing west, by which entry is effected, is the only vestige of the old cloister. This façade has two levels and the ground floor, projecting forward, is constituted of four coursed arcades. Two small rooms frame this gallery vaulted with depressed groin vaults.
