History
This 16th century staircase is integrated into a hotel whose overall structure, less old than itself, appears to date from the 18th century. It comprises a stairwell to which is joined, at each landing, a gallery forming a corridor leading to apartments. The stairwell presents, on the courtyard side, a series of round-headed balconies following the movement of the staircase separated from each other by large openings now closed with glazing. The balconies are formed of a solid wall decorated with mouldings on the sides. The first balcony, above the entrance, presents a sculptural motif bearing a shield surrounded by foliage.
