L'abbé d'Estaing, contraint à la résidence surveillée au château de Murol, et trouvant cette demeure féodale inconfortable, se fit édifier cette résidence probablement à l'emplacement d'une défense avancée de la forteresse. Cette maison comprend un logis datant du 18e siècle, avec rez-de-chaussée, étage et comble percé de lucarnes, lequel est accolé à une petite construction du 15e siècle, couverte en appentis et ornée d'un panneau armorié. Les lucarnes en pierre sont anciennes mais les baies ont dû être repercées au 19e siècle.

History
The Abbé d'Estaing, confined to monitored residence at the château de Murol, and finding this feudal dwelling uncomfortable, had built for himself this residence probably at the location of an advanced defence of the fortress. This house comprises a main dwelling dating from the 18th century, with ground floor, storey and roof space pierced with dormers, which is attached to a small building from the 15th century, covered with a lean-to roof and decorated with an armorial panel. The dormers in stone are old but the openings must have been reopened in the 19th century.
