Historique
L'église se compose d'une courte nef de deux travées, d'un transept non saillant et d'une abside semi-circulaire. Paraissant dater du 11e ou du 12e siècle, il n'est pas exclu qu'elle habille les vestiges d'une église plus ancienne à laquelle auraient appartenu en particulier les gros piliers carrés de la croisée du transept côté ouest. Large porche occidental charpenté soutenu par quatre piliers. L'étage supérieur du clocher n'est pas d'origine, de même que le massif barlong qui le flanque côté sud. Le massif semble fait pour abriter à l'étage supérieur un escalier à volées droites conduisant à la chambre des cloches. A l'intérieur, coupole sur trompes à la croisée du transept. L'architecture primitive de l'abside est entourée d'arcatures reposant sur des colonnettes à chapiteaux romans. Diverses parties de l'édifice semblent présenter des peintures murales qui paraissent assez étendues.

History
The church consists of a short nave of two bays, a non-projecting transept and a semi-circular apse. Appearing to date from the 11th or 12th century, it is not excluded that it conceals the remains of an older church to which belonged in particular the large square pillars of the crossing of the transept on the west side. Wide western porch with roof structure supported by four pillars. The upper stage of the bell tower is not original, nor is the oblong mass which flanks it on the south side. The mass appears to have been made to house at the upper stage a staircase with straight flights leading to the bell chamber. Inside, dome on squinches at the crossing of the transept. The primitive architecture of the apse is surrounded by arcading resting on colonnettes with Romanesque capitals. Various parts of the building appear to present wall paintings which seem quite extensive.
