Ces vestiges de l'ancienne salle capitulaire (deux travées sud) sont les seuls témoins de l'ancienne abbaye. Cette salle s'ouvrait au côté ouest sur le cloître par des arcades : au milieu, l'entrée, en arc plein cintre retombant sur des colonnes à chapiteaux ; de chaque côté, deux arcades géminées dont les deux arcs en plein cintre, surmontés d'un arc de décharge, retombent sur trois colonnettes à chapiteaux dont les bases reposent sur un bahut. Des peintures murales décoraient la salle capitulaire, comme en témoignent les vestiges sur certaines portions des voûtes d'arêtes ainsi que sur le mur du côté opposé aux deux baies romanes. History
These vestiges of the former chapter-house (two southern bays) are the only witnesses of the former abbey. This hall opened on the western side onto the cloister by arcades: in the middle, the entrance, a round arch resting on columns with capitals; on each side, two coupled arcades whose two round arches, surmounted by a relieving arch, rest on three small columns with capitals whose bases rest on a wainscot. Mural paintings decorated the chapter-house, as evidenced by the remains on certain portions of the coved vaults as well as on the wall on the side opposite the two Romanesque openings.
